The Classic Iced Tea Our Classic is a malty, Indian black tea accentuated with just a touch of bergamot oil, an essential oil extracted from a Sicilian citrus fruit with a delicate, flowery, lemon flavor. This brisk blend is a summer delight and the epitome of iced tea: full of character, sweet, crisp, and refreshing.
Hot Steeping Method * Measure 1 Tbsp of loose-leaf tea for every 8 oz of water. * Place the tea into the teapot, tea sack, brew basket, or bottom of a French press. * Fill your brewing vessel with water just off a boil. * Steep the tea for 4 minutes and remove the used tea leaves or dispense the brewed tea. * Allow the tea to cool at least room temperature or refrigerate before serving over ice.
Cold Steeping Method * Measure out 3-4 Tbsp or 12-15 grams into a 1quart lidded container. * Fill the container with cold water and refrigerate at least 8 hours. * Strain and serve.
